Discover Rototāwai This April — Art, Gardens and Heritage in One Remarkable Place.
Set within a restored historic homestead and surrounded by expansive gardens in the South Wairarapa, Rototāwai offers a rare opportunity to experience contemporary New Zealand art in a place of quiet beauty and abundant history.
The Garden gallery is currently showing works from 3 private collections, which all focus on New Zealand art. Works have been kindly loaned from the Woolstore Collection, the Stevenson Collection, and are hung alongside new works from the Anna Bidwill collection that are not part of the permanent collection on display in the homestead gallery at Rototāwai.
During the month of April 2026, visitors can enjoy Rototāwai without booking in advance.
The Galleries and Gardens at Rototāwai will be open from 10am – 3pm every Saturday & Sunday – starting Saturday the 4th of April.
While visitors do not need to book – please note that our standard admission prices remain the same;
Admission: Adults $30 | Children 13-18 $15 / Children under 13 free. (The standard minimum entry fee is waived for weekends in April). The admission price allows entry to the Garden gallery, the Homestead gallery and Gardens – where visitors are free to enjoy a self guided tour.
