A solid day’s tramping with awesome views. Starting at 555m elevation, going up to 805m elevation so quite a lot of uphill along the ridgeline before a long descent. You may need more than one bottle of water! Poles useful to support your knees.
Meet at Featherston Station at 8:30 for the bus trip to the summit. Six hours including a couple of rest stops. Toilets only at Bucks Road.
Equipment, suitable footwear, clothing, food and water will be checked before you get on the bus.
Suitable for fit trampers only.
