Back by popular demand after delighting festival-goers in 2024, this unique twilight walk returns for 2025. Led by Jane & Rod from the Ruamāhanga Farm Foundation, the journey begins with a sensory—and at times silent—stroll along the Ruamāhanga River before entering the majestic Waihinga Bush, one of the finest examples of podocarp forest near Martinborough.
As the sun sets and the forest darkens, take your place beneath the towering trees and be transported by a mythical tale of how this special forest came to be. A truly atmospheric experience, blending nature, story, and stillness.
Registration cost will be donated to Ruamāhanga Farm Foundation.
Walk Format:
This 4km walk is predominantly on flat track, with mown grass underfoot, however the ground can be uneven.
