Join the Martinborough Friday Walkers, Martinborough Community Board, and Wellington Free Ambulance for a relaxed local walk to discover where Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are located around the village. The route is flat and mostly suitable for pushchairs and prams, making it a great outing for all ages and fitness levels.
The walk finishes at the Waihinga Centre with light refreshments and an opportunity to chat with Cheryl from Wellington Free Ambulance about AEDs. You’ll also be able to register for upcoming Heartbeat training courses.
Martinborough is well served with around 12 AEDs across the village. A new map showing their locations—along with details of the AED Locator App—will be available and distributed to local businesses.
This event aims to raise awareness of AED locations and highlight the free training opportunities provided by Wellington Free Ambulance, thanks to the Lloyd Morrison Foundation. Don’t forget to wear something red!
